Riley Domin (Getzville, NY/Williamsville South), Josie Fleming (Clarence, NY/Clarence), and Jadyn Jones (Gowanda, NY/Lake Shore) of the Buffalo State women’s basketball team have?been recognized for their outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments, earning selection to the 2022-23 Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators.  

To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must display combined excellence in their sport and in the classroom, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above through at least two full semesters at their institution, while also participating in at least 50% of their team’s contests during the season. 

Domin holds a 3.88 cumulative GPA at Buffalo State, and has been named to the Dean’s List in each of the five semesters. She played in 22 games for Buffalo State with four starts, while averaging over 11 minutes per game. Domin earned the honor for the second time this year, also being named to the Academic All-District Team for volleyball.  

Fleming has a 3.72 cumulative GPA as a Bengal, and has earned Dean’s List in each of her three semesters. She played in 23 games with eight starts this season averaging 13.1 minutes per game, and scored a career-high eight points against Hilbert. 

Through two semesters at Buffalo State, Jones has a 3.93 cumulative GPA and a pair of Dean’s List selections. She played in all 25 games for Buffalo State with 18 starts, averaging 26.8 minutes per game, 6.9 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, and led the team in field goal percentage.  

With the Academic All-District distinction, the trio will also advance to the ballot for Academic All-America.
