Donald Lee Streeter, known as “Don” 70, of Niagara Falls, NY peacefully made his transition from this life on February 3, 2023. Born on March 5, 1952 in Niagara Falls, NY, to the late Eddie and Ruth (Pickett) Streeter.  He was raised by his aunt and uncle, Corene & Toby Jackson.

Don was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1971. He served in the Army in 1972 for a moment but he preferred civilian life more. Don had various jobs and owned a game room on 18th Street. He also had a jewelry business, landscaping and a home repair business, Pitt/Niagara Contracting Home Maintenance.

He married the love of his life, Lorraine Wickett, whom he loved dearly and took care of until her passing on August 26, 2014 of stage 4 breast cancer.

Don loved gardening, growing vegetables and herbs.  He was a diehard fan of the Buffalo Bills.  Blue was his favorite color.  His hobbies were sports and shooting pool.  He enjoyed listening to the blues, jazz, the Temptations and old-time gospel music.  His favorite books were non-fiction of Don, writing it every day.

Don’s favorite words were “My dear you look so good.”  He was a down to earth guy, and was always a man of conversation.  Don said, “Let it be known, I tell them I love every one of them – a lover of women, always one”’

Don loved spending time with family and friends.  He had a special bond with his nephews.  He was a funny guy and loved to cook.  He made the best collard greens in Niagara Falls.

Don is survived by his step-children April Wynn, Eugene Boos, George Boos, Christopher Boos, David Boos, Racheal Rowden, Lisa Nichols, and Laura Rossback and a dozen grandchildren; his sisters, Gloria (Willie) Dykes, Ruth Streeter, Rita Streeter, Priscilla Richardson, his brother, Eddie Streeter, a very special niece, Sheneda, as well dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  In addition to his wife and parents, Don was predeceased by his siblings, Doris J. Streeter and Charles Streeter.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18 from 10 – 11 AM at M.J.
