LOCKPORT — Niagara County District Attorney Brian Seaman announced that Willie J. Rumph, age 33 of Niagara Falls, entered a guilty before Hon. Caroline A. Wojtaszek to the crimes of Attempted Rape in the First Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree in County Court today. Rumph admitted to sexually assaulting a child less than 11 years old in Niagara Falls last year, and then to causing damage to the victim’s family dwelling.

Rumph faces a sentence of 12 years in prison and between 7 and 20 years of post-release supervision when he returns to court to be sentenced on March 24. He will also have to register as a sex offender. The case was investigated by the Niagara Falls Police Department Youth Aid Division and was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Liesel Marcantonio and Rob Zucco.
