BROCKPORT – The Buffalo State swimming and diving teams fell short tonight against the Brockport Golden Eagles. The men lost by a final score of 161-76 while the women fell 189-53.

FOR THE BENGAL MEN

  • Chris Signore (Buffalo, NY/Canisius) took the win in the 1,000 free with a season best time of 11:21.83.
  • Colby Riexinger (Brockport, NY/Brockport) and Sean Mahaney (Alden, NY/Alden) also earned individual wins.
  • Riexinger took first in the both the 50 and 100 back (28.20, 1:01.93) while Mahaney earned the wins in the 100 fly and 100 free (57.34, 53.48).

FOR THE BENGAL WOMEN

  • Hannah Heil (Medina, NY/Medina) earned three second place finishes in the 50 (25.46), 100 (55.42), and 200 (2:04.94) free events.
  • Maggie Bilquin (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) finished second in both the 50 (33.10) and 100 (1:12.53) breast events.

The Bengals will return to action tomorrow as they host Oswego State and Medaille beginning at 1:00 pm. Tomorrow’s meet will also be Senior Night festivities.
