BUFFALO – The Buffalo State women’s hockey team fell short this afternoon after dropping their contest with the Potsdam Bears by a final score of 4-1 at the Buffalo State Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bears got on the board early in the first as they scored less than four minutes into the action.
- Buffalo State would be held at bay until Groh found the back of the net off a deflection from Silva’s initial shot to even the score 1-1.
- The Bears took the lead in the third after a shorthanded goal.
- Emily DellaNeve would add another shorthanded goal for Potsdam to give them the 3-1 lead.
- Shortly after, Potsdam would seal the victory with their fourth goal of the afternoon.
FOR THE FOES
- Kaylee Merrill earned a hat trick with three goals on the day.
- Ellie Zurfluh made 20 saves in the victory.
