Tage Thompson is having a good year. The Buffalo Sabres forward is second in the NHL in points and third in goals with 36 games under his belt on the season.

Thompson has 30 goals and 25 assists, including three goals in Tuesday’s overtime winner over the Washington Capitals. It was Thompson who scored that overtime winner.

And his play has been noticed, as he was selected to the NHL All-Star Game, the Sabres announced tonight.

It is the first time the 25-year-old has been selected.
