Matthew Loscalzo, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on December 21, 2022 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of the late Anthony and Filomena (Venaterato) Loscalzo, and the step-son of the late Eli Genco.
Matthew served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1957. He was employed for 31 years as a Millwright at Occidential Chemical Corporation in Niagara Falls. He was a huge fan of the New York Yankees. Matthew always had a smile on his face and was loved by everyone. He will be remembered most as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Matthew is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sherry A. (Richey) Loscalzo; his children, Matthew A. Loscalzo, Tricia (Rolf) Wadstein, Gina (Jason) Pietrowski, and Lori (Johnathan Houghton) Loscalzo, as well as his grandchildren, Elyn Wadstein, Jimmy Wadstein, Lillyana Loscalzo and Vivian Houghton. He was predeceased his sister, Phyllis ‘Sugar’ Genco and his brother, Allen (Karen) Genco.
