Timothy C. Rickard, 62, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Tim was from the Tuscarora Indian Reservation. He was the son of the late James Sr. and Geraldine (Antone) Rickard; and the beloved husband of Catherine (Masic) Rickard.

Tim was a 1978 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School, where he won the New York State Club Hockey Championship. He was an excellent athlete and excelled in hockey, golf and softball. In addition to his high school hockey team, Tim was also a member of the local youth hockey travel teams, as well as the Niagara Falls Moose and Niagara County Community College. He competed on several different fast pitch softball teams throughout Western New York and Ontario, who won many championships throughout the years.

Tim was the president of the Western New York Public Links, the Niagara Falls Hyde Park Golf Club Board of Directors and a long time member of the National Left-Handed Golf Association. He won the Niagara Falls B Championship at Hyde Park Golf Club, an achievement he was very proud of. 

Tim was a member of the Local 74 Roofers Union and was employed for various roofing companies throughout the country. Following his retirement from roofing in 2002, he became the Facilities Manager for Smokin Joes for several years. Tim was a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox, but above all, he centered his life around his family, especially his grandchildren who he loved dearly.

In addition to his wife, Catherine, Mr. Rickard is survived by his step children, Sara (Dom Geracitano) Masic and Ronald (Tiffany) Masic; his grandchildren, Michael Knox Jr., Cadence Hawes, Dominic Geracitano, Peyton Geracitano, Preston Geracitano, Hailey Geracitano, Makayla Parise and Dominick Maracle. He is also survived by his brother David Rickard, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother James B “Jimmy “ Rickard.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 20 from 2 – 6 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will follow at 6 PM.
