On June 08, 2022, Troopers out of SP Fredonia arrested Sabrina N. Gibson, 26 of Jamestown, NY for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree and Criminal Contempt 2nd degree.

On June 08, 2022, Troopers out of the Fredonia barracks responded to a stolen wallet complaint at the Tim Hortons in the town of Pomfret.  The complainant stated that she had mistakenly left her wallet on the counter at Tim Horton’s while having breakfast with her two-year-old son.  When she realized her wallet was mistakenly left on the counter, it was no longer there.

With the assistance of Tim Hortons management, Troopers reviewed surveillance footage that showed a female, later identified as Sabrina N. Gibson, taking the wallet with her as she left the restaurant and getting into a darker colored van.

While patrolling the area of NY-60 near the village of Cassadaga, Troopers would identify the vehicle observed in the surveillance footage, as well as a female occupant which matched the description of Gibson shown on surveillance.  The vehicle was stopped for a vehicle and traffic infraction and Gibson was taken into custody without incident.

Gibson was arrested and transported to SP Fredonia for processing where she was ultimately charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, an E felony.  Gibson was also charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree, an A misdemeanor when further investigation revealed an active ‘stay away’ Order of Protection was in place and the protected party was the man that Gibson was traveling with.

Gibson was released on appearance tickets for later this month to appear in the Town of Pomfret Court later this month.
