On August 14, 2020, SP Newstead Troopers arrested Michael J. Benaquist, 24, of Buffalo, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.
Benaquist was operating a 1993 GMC on Transit Road in the town of Clarence, NY when he was stopped for inadequate taillights and failing to signal a turn. Further investigation revealed Benaquist had been operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Benaquist failed standard field sobriety tests at the scene and was transported to SP Clarence for processing where he submitted to a chemical breath test indicating a 0.12% BAC.
Benaquist was released with appearance tickets for the town of Clarence court for future arraignment.
