On July 1, 2020, SP Grand Island Troopers arrested Nicholas J. Macoretta, 54, of Grand Island, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.
Macoretta was operating his 2014 Volvo on South Parkway in the town of Grand Island, NY when he was stopped for speeding. Further investigation revealed Macoretta had been operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Macoretta failed standard field sobriety tests at the scene and was transported to SP Grand Island for processing where he submitted to a chemical breath test indicating a 0.09% BAC.
Macoretta was released with appearance tickets for the town of Grand Island court for future arraignment.
