VERONA – The Niagara men’s golf team completed the first two rounds of the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate on Sunday.
The Purple Eagles sit in 14th place after 36 holes with a total team score of 655 (+79).
Tyler Edholm finished the day tied for 57th place, leading the Purple Eagles. He shot 79 (+7) in both rounds for a 36-hole total of 158 (+14).
Lincoln Cizek carded an 87 (+15) in the first round and shaved an impressive 15 strokes off his score to finish the second round at even par (72). He is in 63rd place with a total score of 159 (+15).
Zach Farkas shot 86 (+14) in round one and shaved 10 strokes off his score to fire a 76 (+4) in round two. He finished the day with a total score of 162 (+18) and is tied for 73rd place.
Mike Tomczak finished the day in 88th place. He shot 96 (+24) in the first round and 89 (+17) in the second round for a total score of 185 (+41).
Eric MacLean finished in 89th place with a two-round score of 169 (+25). MacLean’s second round score was disqualified. He carded an 87 (+15) in the first round.
The Purple Eagles will play the final round of the tournament on Sunday, Sept. 2.
