NIAGARA UNIV. — Niagara women’s golf head coach Jim LaBuda has announced three newcomers for the 2019-20 season. Hanna Dombrowski, Eve Quinn and Andrea Saenz will enroll at Niagara in the fall.
Hanna Dombroski | Liverpool, NY | Liverpool High School
Dombroski joins the Purple Eagles from Liverpool High School. Dombroski is currently ranked third in girls ages 15-18 in the PGA Central New York Section Junior Tour. Dombroski earned two first-place finishes this summer, taking first in in Junior Tour events at The Skenandoa Club (July 12) and Cazenovia Country Club (July 17). She was named the section’s 2018 Player of the Year, earning 730 total points on the Junior Tour and making the cut for nine tournaments. Since 2017, Dombroski has never placed below 10th in a Junior Tour tournament. In high school, Dombroski was a three-sport athlete, also competing in field hockey and cheer. For golf, she qualified for sectionals twice and was selected to the second team. Her team also won a league title. Dombroski also excelled in the classroom. She was a member of National Honor Society, as well as receiving the Presidential Award, an English award and the Seal of Bi-literacy.
Eve Quinn | Columbus, OH | Bishop Watterson High School
Quinn began playing golf her sophomore year of high school. She was selected as a captain by her teammates for her senior season. Quinn is passionate about serving her community and completed over 250 community service hours during high school, earning her the Monsignor Spiers Service Award. Quinn has also spent time working at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
Andrea Saenz | Edinburg, TX | McAllen Memorial High School
Saenz joins Niagara from McAllen Memorial High School in McAllen, Texas. She started her high school career at Edinburg North, before transferring to McAllen Memorial for her senior year. Saenz was the MVP of her high school golf team her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons and was also a regional qualified her freshman through junior season. Saenz was a four-sport athlete, also competing in cross country, track and volleyball. She was a regional qualifier for cross country all four years of high school and was a regional quarterfinalist for volleyball her senior year. Saenz was also successful academically. She was named to the All-Academic Team and was a Second Team Academic All-State selection.
