KENMORE — One of the Kenmore Village Improvement Society’s most popular events will celebrate its sixth as the Northtown Subaru Dog Days of Kenmore takes place June 9th at Mang Park.

Well socialized dogs and their people (and any dog lover) is welcome to attend. The event is free. Over 100 vendors, including many rescue groups, will take part in the celebration of all things canine from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Businesses and artisans include those that cater to pets and their owners, such as animal hospitals, pet-sitting services, groomers and more.

KVIS also will give away five $100 prizes to rescue organizations that take part in the event. Canine contests with prizes include best trick, best dog-human lookalike and best costume. Demonstrations will feature agility, behavioral training, barn hunt. K9 Officers Ryan Taber & Diehl will also be at the event.

Food trucks, including Loose Cannon, Pizza Amore and Amy’s Truck, Le Petit Poutine and Sweet
Hearth will be available for lunch and refreshments. There will be a free beer tasting by Community
Beer Works and Skiffle Minstrels Band will provide live music. There will be Smooch your Pooch Booth and a Flea Market as well.
