OSWEGO — Oswego scored 17 unanswered goals to claim an 18-1 victory over visiting Buffalo State, eliminating the Bengals from playoff contention today in a SUNYAC contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Oswego opened the scoring just over a minute into the game, but Buffalo State responded a short time later with a tally by Jackie Dufresne (Lake View/Frontier)assisted by Kendall Skuse(Churchville/Churchville-Chili).
  • It was all the Lakers the rest of the way, however, as they closed out the first half with a 14-1 advantage and netted the only four goals of the second half.
  • Oswego held a 14-6 edge in draw controls and outshot the Bengals 26-12, including 25-5 on goal.
  • Janae Nelson (Elmont/Elmont Memorial) made with seven saves.

 
FOR THE FOES

  • Toni Laneve scored five goals for Oswego, and Molly Beck, Bridid Regin and Montana Garrett scored three each.
