ALLEGANY — A 43-year-old Allegany man was charged Saturday with aggravated driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop.

According to New York State Police, during a traffic stop on Maple Avenue, Todd P. DePuy was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. He was then arrested and transported to SP Olean, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.18% BAC.

DePuy was released with appearance tickets and is due to appear in Allegany Town Court in March.
