Alice May Thiel Wills entered into rest on January 12, 2019 at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.  Born June 14, 1919 in Appleton, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Pepenhagen) Thiel.

Alice was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for many years.  Probably her greatest joy was making a home for her husband of 63 years, Norman Wills, who preceded her in death on October 28, 2003. She was proud to be a graduate of Lockport Senior High School and often remarked that she could still write in shorthand.

She enjoyed doing handwork including crocheting and sewing, and also enjoyed gardening.  An avid estate sale shopper, she was always on the lookout for oil lamps.  As her outings became less frequent, she took up coloring and doing puzzles.  She was proud of her advanced years and would mention her age to most anyone she met.  And yes, she loved the color pink.

Alice was also predeceased by her son, Dennis; brother, Edward; sisters, Grace, Anna, and Mary.  She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Judith Wagner Wills of Lockport; granddaughters, Jennifer (Richard) Parshall of Shrewsbury, MA, and Elizabeth Wills Patrick of Lockport.  Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Anna and Alexander Parshall, and Colin Patrick; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 5 to 7 PM, where a celebration of life will be held at Thursday January 17th at 11 AM.  Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY or Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7147 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY would be appreciated.
