The 2018 All WNY Awards Ceremony will be an action-packed day filled with eight musical performances and the presentation of awards in 23 categories.
Shifting from how awards ceremonies were done in the past, this year we’ve decided not to announce the winners ahead of time. Instead, we’ll have awards presented throughout the day intermixed with performances from eight artists, all nominees in their respective categories.
We’ll start the day off with performances from Ally Rose Marella, Ronnie Watts and Shannon Vanderlaan during the 3 o’clock hour.
The 4 o’clock hour will consist of award presentations for Best Vocalist, Best Local Release, Best Rock Band, Best Local Song, and Best Country Band — plus a performance by Mom Said No, nominees in the Best Local Release and Best Rock Band categories.
During the 5 o’clock hour, there will be award presentations in the Best Punk / Pop Punk, Best Venue, Best DJ and Best Blues Band categories — plus a performance by Wyatt Coin, nominees in the Best Live Band, Best Punk / Pop Punk and Most Original categories.
The 6 o’clock hour will be filled with awards presentations in the Best Hip-Hop / R&B, Best New Band, Best Acoustic / Folk Band, and Best Podcast categories. Chuckie Campbell, nominee in the Best Hip-Hop / R&B category will perform.
Best Drummer, Best Guitarist, Most Original, Best EDM and Best Electronic / Industrial Band awards will be presented during the 7 o’clock hour, which will also feature a performance by Digital Afterlife, a nominee in the Best Live Band and Best Electronic / Industrial Band categories.
Finally, during the 8 o’clock hour, we’ll present the awards for Best Live Band, Best “Other” Instrumentalist, Best Bassist, Best Hardcore / Metal Band, and the Greg Rinker Service Award — plus a performance by DredNeks, nominees in the Best Live Band and Best Hardcore / Metal Band categories.
Eight performances. Twenty-three awards. And a whole lot of fun. Jan. 19, 2019 at Evening Star Concert Hall in Niagara Falls.
