LOCKPORT – The Niagara County Pistol Permit Office, generally closed to the public each Wednesday, will be open December 26th, the day after Christmas. County Clerk Joseph Jastrzemski noted that historically the day after Christmas is especially busy, as staff accommodates permit holders who have most recently received new handguns. The office is located at 175 Hawley St. in Lockport, and will be open from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
Jastrzemski said, “This one time Wednesday opening will not only assist our Niagara County Pistol Permit holders, but will also create a more efficient flow with our staff to handle the paperwork. “Of course, our satellite office in Niagara Falls will also be open on Wednesday, December 26th from 10 am to 2 pm at the Trott Center, 1001 11th St. next to our DMV office.”
