Canisius head coach Trevor Large announced Tuesday the addition of goaltender Matt Ladd to the Golden Griffins roster for the second half of the 2018-19 season.
Ladd, a native of Getzville, N.Y., joins Canisius from the New Jersey Junior Titans of the North American Hockey League, where he posted a 2.54 goals against average and a .922 save percentage in 17 games played this season.
In 2017-18, Ladd recorded a 2.85 goals against average and a .907 save percentage in 28 regular-season contests with the Titans before turning in a 2.76 goals against average and a .925 save percentage in four postseason appearances.
Canisius returns to action Dec. 28-29 when it travels to Schenectady, N.Y., to face No. 14 Union in a non-conference series at Messa Rink. Puck drop for the series opener is set for 7 p.m., while the finale is slated for a 4 p.m. matinee.
