STEAMBURG — A 44-year-old Greenhurst man was charged Saturday with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on West Perimeter Road.
According to New York State Police, Shawn Proctor was stopped for a traffic violation and while speaking to the occupants, the troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of the occupants and the vehicle revealed that Proctor was in possession of a partially smoked marijuana cigarette. Proctor was issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of Cold Spring Court on a later date.
