BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced its annual Indoor Track Preseason Coaches’ Poll, Thursday morning. The Canisius women were selected eight with 18 points and the men’s program was picked to finish sixth with 19 overall points.
 
Last season, Canisius finished sixth on the men’s side, recording 23 points at the MAAC Championships and the women finished eighth, with eight points.
 
On the men’s side, Monmouth was selected to finish atop the league once again with 78 points and seven first-place votes, followed by Rider (55) and Manhattan (46) in third place. Iona (44) and Siena (30) were picked fourth and fifth by the coaches. The Golden Griffins, Marist (18) and Saint Peter’s (13) round out the eight-team poll.
 
For the women, Monmouth was picked first, receiving seven first-place votes and 78 overall points. Rider (70), Quinnipiac (61), and Manhattan (58) took spots two through four. The Broncs and Jaspers each received a first-place votes. Iona (46), Marist (37) and Siena (25) were selected to finish above the Blue and Gold, with Saint Peter’s (12) selected to finish last.
