Earl Richard Oestreich passed away November 27, 2018 in Eastern Niagara Hospital.  Born April 16, 1944 in Olean, NY he was the son of Earl Leo and Ethelyn (Edmunds) Oestreich.  Earl attended Erie County Tech and the University of Buffalo and earned a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Communications from Medaille. He served in the US Air Force from 1963 to 1967 being awarded several medals.  Earl worked for Harrison Radiator for 35 years where he was an Engineer Technician and also was a real estate broker.  He was a member of the VFW, Vietnam Vets of America, the American Legion, Hooligans Car Club, served on the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Board of Review, supported Policeman’s Picnic supported through the D.A.R.E. Program.  Earl coached Lockport Little Loop Football, was a statistician and football coach at DeSales High School, worked as a sound tech for Wallace School of Dance, member of the Dance Educators of America, Star Power Dance Competition, member of the folk group, and served as a eucharistic minister, and was a mobile DJ.

Earl is survived by his wife Jean (Heenan) Oestreich; children Shawn (Odette Rubio) Oestreich, Inga M. (Joel) Gerson and late Zane F. Oestreich; grandchildren Christopher, Kyle (Anna) Oestreich, Celina Wardlow, and Zane P. Gerson; great grandfather of two; brother Alan Oestreich and late Terry Oestreich.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday, December 1st from 1-4 PM with services following at 4 PM all in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.
