CANISIUS COLLEGE ATHLETICS
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Canisius cross country sends a portion of the men’s and women’s rosters to the Bronx, N.Y., to compete in the ECAC/IC4A Championships. The meet will mark the final race of the Golden Griffins schedule.
Scouting Canisius
• Competing on the men’s side are seniors Paul Henry and Brandon Williams, junior Marcus Brown, sophomores Turner Dirrigl and Jordan Obrochta and freshmen Richard Moore and Michael Gianadda.
• At the MAAC Championships, Henry finished 50th with a time of 26:45.2, followed by Dirrigl (73rd – 27:18), Obrochta (74th – 27:19) Moore (79th – 27.31), Brown (93rd – 27:53), Williams (104th – 29:03) and Gianadda (123rd – 29:42).
• Henry finished 19th at the Canisius Alumni Classic, clocking in at 26:34, a personal best 8K time.
• On the women’s side, seniors Mary Manzari, Christian Conner, Hannah Latragna and Katie Simon, as well as junior Jaci Wallace, sophomore Isabella Iadicicco and freshman Libby Benzer will represent the Griffs.
• Conner finished 87th at the MAAC Championships with a time of 25:01. Benzer recorded a 94th place finish, crossing the line in 25:11, followed by Latranga (95th – 25:13). Mazari (104th -25:35), Iadicicco (108th – 25:46), Wallace (111th – 25:50) and Simon (114th – 26:04).
• At the Canisius Alumni Classic, Conner and Iadicicco recorded career-best 5K times with marks of 20:08 and 20:40, respectively.

• The teams will take a brief break from action before returning for the indoor track season. The 2019 MAAC Indoor Track Championships take place Feb. 16-17 at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center in New York, N.Y.
