STAFF REPORTS

A Medina man was charged with DWI and False Personation on November 5, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, officers out of SP Albion stopped Coley R. Doward Jr. in the town of Shelby for speeding. Troopers observed Doward was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. When asked to conduct field sobriety tests Doward became uncooperative and evasive towards state police units on scene. Further investigation revealed Doward provided a false name and identity to patrols due his NY driver’s license being revoked from a previous DWI conviction. Doward was ultimately placed under arrest and transported to SP Albion for arrest processing. Doward recorded a .15% BAC.

Doward was arraigned at the town of Ridgeway court and remanded to the Orleans County jail in lieu of $250.00 cash bail.
