ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Buffalo State had five double-winners as the Bengals swept an exhibition dual meet today at Monroe Community College with the women prevailing, 132-52, and the men winning, 120-106.

WOMEN’S NOTABLES

  • Angela McCauley (Schenectady/Home Schooled) was one of four Bengals women to claim a pair of events.  McCauley touched first in the 500 free in 5:48.07, and also won the 100 fly in 1:06.07.
  • Alexis Andres also won twice, capturing the 100 free (1:01.59) and the 200 free (2:13.27).
  • Elizabeth Mitchell (Grand Island/Grand Island) raced to victories in the 200 IM (2:27.13) and the 100 back (1:08.66).
  • Kelly Lindner (W. Seneca/W. Seneca West) swept the diving events with a score of 229.60 on the 3-meter and 193.40 on the 1-meter.  Her 3-meter score was a personal best by 24 points.

 
MEN’S NOTABLES

  • Justin Moser (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) also took both diving events on the men’s side, posting scores of 248.05 in the 1-meter and 316.00 in the 3-meter.  His 3-meter score was the first of two required qualifying scores for the NCAA regionals and set a new personal best.
  • Four other Bengals won individual events with Nathan Tuholski (Williamsville/Williamsville North) winning the 100 free (51.00), Drew Deren (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) claiming the 1,000 free (11:10.57), Shane Breen (Middle Village/Middle Village) touching first in the 100 fly (57.61), and Zach Nau (Spencerport/Spencerport) capturing the 100 back (1:00.53).
