BUFFALO, N.Y. — This Saturday the Golden Griffins head to the MAAC Cross Country Championships in Loudonville, N.Y., and they will be led by senior Siobhan Quinn.

Quinn, a native of Rochester, N.Y., has had a multitude of success while wearing the Blue and Gold, highlighted by the 2016 MAAC Championship in Orlando, Fla. at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex where she crossed the finish line in 21:19 to take home the individual title.

“That is the most notable race of my career,” Quinn said. “It is something I always look back on, to gain confidence for all my upcoming races.”

This year, Quinn has won three races including her fourth straight Little Three Championship, second consecutive Paul Short Brown – 6K, and the annual Canisius Alumni Classic. The senior has also been named MAAC Runner of the Week twice this season and a total of six times during her career.

“Siobhan is a fantastic talent,” noted head coach Nate Huckle. “She not only has the physical skills to compete at a high level but more importantly has an outstanding work ethic, that’s what I have really seen in her time here at Canisius.”

Quinn’s talent and work ethic shows every time the team takes the course as she has led the way for the Canisius women in every single event over her four years.

The senior rounds out her cross country career with the MAAC Championships this Saturday, the NCAA Division I Northeast Regional, Nov. 10 and the hopes of making the NCAA Championships in Madison, Wisc., Nov. 17.
