ITHACA, N.Y. — For the fourth time this fall, sophomore Joe Tricarico posted the men’s cross country team’s best time at an event. Overall, the team placed third at the John Reif Memorial, hosted by Cornell.

- Tricarico finished the day with a mark of 17:06.9, an average mile pace of 5:31. Despite the sloppy conditions, Tricarico was just 1.9 seconds behind his personal best for a 5k race, which he set in the season’s first meet at Saint Bonaventure. Out of the 47 runners in the event, Tricarico came in 22nd overall.
- Daniel Leskowicz came through second for Niagara with a time of 19:05.5, a 6:09 average mile pace.
- Kevin Verdejo and Justin Sagasta crossed the finish line with nearly identical times. Verdejo ran a 19:20.6, just 0.3 seconds ahead of Sagasta.
- Ben Slate (20:00.7) and Spencer Swoboda (20:08.3) rounded out the times for Niagara.

- Both the men’s and women’s teams will be competing at next weekend’s MAAC Championships. The men will start the day off at 11 a.m. with the women to follow at 12 p.m. The race will be held at Loudonville, New York’s The Crossings at Colonie.
