FREDONIA, N.Y. — Buffalo State hit the water for the first time under first-year head coach Mike Kroll with a non-scored exhibition quad meet at Fredonia today, joining the host Blue Devils, Brockport and Ithaca.

WOMEN’S NOTABLES

  • Elizabeth Connolly (Lockport/Lockport) made her Buffalo State debut with a second-place finish in the 50 free (26.29),and was also fourth in the 100 free (48.07).
  • Angela McCauley (Schenectady/Home Schooled) posted a third-place showing in the 100 IM with a time of 1:07.04.
  • Marita Miller (Freeville/Dryden) also had a top-four finish, touching fourth in the 50 back (32.16).

 
MEN’S NOTABLES

  • Cody Wittmeyer (Hamburg/Hamburg) led the notable finishes for the Bengals’ men, winning the 50 fly (24.17), and added a runner-up finish in the 100 fly (54.98).
  • Justin Moser (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) placed third in the 1-meter dive (216.60) and was fourth in the 3-meter dive (218.95).
  • Nate Tuholski (Williamsville/Williamsville East) touched third in the 50 free (22.62), and Josh Bartel(Kenmore/Cherry Hill East) also had a third-place showing in the 100 back (58.26).
