The Canisius women’s soccer team hits the road Sunday when it travels to face Rider. Game time in Lawrenceville, N.J., is set for 1 p.m. 

LAST TIME OUT
• Canisius freshman Hannah Morpurgo scored her first career goal, but it was not enough for the Golden Griffins, who fell by the score of 2-1 at Delaware State Monday afternoon.
•  The Hornets held a 4-3 advantage in shots on goal and a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks for the contest
• The Griffs held the lead until the 70th minute, when Delaware State’s Alexa Gibbs put a shot from inside the box past Canisius sophomore goalkeeper Bailey Fenwick-Miller to knot the match at 1-1.
• The Hornets scored the game winner with 53 seconds left on the clock when Jade Jamison settled a free-kick in the box and beat Canisius goalie Alana Rossi to the left side of the net.

ABOUT THE BRONCS
• Rider is 8-5-2 on the year and 4-3-1 in MAAC play. The Broncs won their last MAAC contest over Quinnipiac, 2-1, at home.
• Kourtney Cunningham leads the conference with 67 shots and is second in goals scored with eight.
• Rider goalkeeper Carmen Carbonell has recorded 93 saves this season, third-most in the conference.
• As a team, the Broncs have out-scored their opponents, 21-17, on the season.
 
CANISIUS – RIDER SERIES HISTORY
• Saturday’s match will be the 23rd all-time meeting between the Griffs and the Broncs.
• Rider leads the series, 11-10-1.
• Last season, Rider scored a 2-0 victory over Canisius at the Demske Sports Complex in Buffalo, N.Y. 
•  The Broncs have won the last two contests against the Griffs.
• The two schools first met in 1997, Rider’s first year as a member of the MAAC. The Griffs won that game by the score of 2-0.
