BUFFALO, N.Y. — Earlier this afternoon, Buffalo Police responded to a shooting inside a restaurant located off campus near the intersection of Dart and Letchworth streets.

Initial information indicates the shooting was targeted. The suspect fled south along Dart Street, away from campus.

University Police reports there is no connection or threat to the college. Buffalo Police and UPD remain on the scene. University Police has increased patrols on the west side of campus this evening to assist members of the college community.

If your vehicle is located in Lot G-20, please contact University Police at 716-878-6333 and a UPD officer will provide access to your car. In addition, members of the campus community are always encouraged to take advantage of UPD’s safe escort and shuttle services. Thank you for your patience and attention to this matter.
