• The RedHawks were able to record the first shot on goal of the match in the sixth minute as Lyda Bogdanovitch took a shot that was stopped by Emily Kelly to keep the match scoreless.
• After a couple Miami chances didn’t result in anything, the Bulls broke through with the first goal of the match in the 13^th minute. The Bulls drew a foul and on the ensuing free kick, Tess Ford sent a perfect ball into the box where Kaitlyn Walsh headed home her sixth goal of the season to give UB the 1-0 lead.
• Miami had a scoring chance in the 27^th minute of the match but Emily Kelly came up with a strong stop on Jordan King to preserve the 1-0 lead for Buffalo.
• In the 30^th minute, Gurjeena Jandu sent a corner kick into a dangerous spot where Gianna Yurchak gathered the ball but her shot just went wide of the RedHawks goal.
• A couple minutes later, Gurjeena Jandu pushed the tempo and was able to take a shot that went just over the cross bar and out of play.
• Gianna Yurchak had another scoring chance in the 37^th minute of play but her attempt was saved by Lauren Parker to keep the score 1-0 in favor of the Bulls.
• UB continued to put the pressure on in the 40^th minute as Mairead Martin took a shot that forced Lauren Parker to move and make a nice stop on.
• Miami had the first scoring chance of the second half in the 50^th minute as Olivia Winnett ripped a shot that was snagged by Emily Kelly.
• In the 63^rd minute, Marcy Barberic had her first scoring chance of the match but her attempt was saved by Lauren Parker to keep it 1-0 in favor of UB.
• The Buffalo defense came up with a big stop in the 68^th minute of play as the RedHawks sent a corner into the box where Desiree Grubbs had her shot blocked and Lyda Bogdanovich saw her attempt saved by Emily Kelly.
• Katherine Camper had a shot in the 69^th minute that went wide of the Miami goal.
• The RedHawks countered quickly in the 70^th minute and took a shot on goal that was grabbed by Emily Kelly for her fifth save of the match.
• Annie Judasz tried adding to the lead for UB in the 77^th minute but her attempt was saved once again by the Miami keeper.
• The Buffalo defense held the RedHawks without a shot over the final 13 minutes to claim the win.

• Associate head coach Casey Derkacz earned the win on the sidelines for the Bulls as he was acting head coach for the match.
• The win gives Buffalo 10 victories on the year, most in a season since winning 11 matches during the 2015 campaign.
• With the win, UB improves to 5-3-0 on the road this season which is tied for the most road wins in a season since 1999.
• UB is now 4-3-0 in MAC play on the year as they have won at least four MAC matches in each season under head coach Shawn Burke.
• Freshman goalkeeper Emily Kelly notched her 10^th win of the season and her sixth clean sheet. She now ranks third in program history for wins in a season and sixth in program history for shutouts in a season.
• Sophomore Kaitlyn Walsh netted her career-high sixth goal of the season in the win. She now has set a career-high with 14 points through just 11 matches played this season.
• Freshman center back Tess Ford notched her second assist of the season on Walsh’s game-winner. She has posted three goals, two assists and eight points on the season.
• For the match, Miami held the slim 10-9 edge in shots while UB held the dominant 5-1 edge in corner kicks in the win.
• Gianna Yurchak led all UB players with three shots while six other Bulls notched one shot in the win.
• Emily Kelly made five saves in her sixth clean sheet of the season while her counterpart Lauren Parker made four stops in the loss.

• Associate Head Coach Casey Derkacz: “I’m happy for this group to return to their winning ways. Conditions made the game very challenging from the beginning, but I think this group adapted brilliantly. We know winning isn’t easy in the MAC and to pick up three points from this game is a huge boost to the confidence of this group.”
