BUFFALO STATE ATHLETICS

Pencic
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo State’s Theo Pencic (Oslo, Norway/Heltberg) was named the SUNYAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Bengals to a key SUNYAC victory on Saturday.

The freshman from Norway returned to the pitch for the first time since Sept. 15 after missing five games due to injury, and appeared to be in fine form, scoring Buffalo State’s first three goals in a 4-0 victory at Fredonia on Saturday.  The hat trick gave him a team-best seven goals in just seven games played, while the win gave Buffalo State two points in the season-long Battle by the Lake competition against Fredonia, providing the Bengals’ an early 4-2 lead.

Pencic and the Bengals will next play at Oswego on Friday at 4 p.m.
