The Canisius women’s soccer team hits the road Saturday when it travels to face Fairfield. Game time in Fairfield, Conn., is set for 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
• Alli DeLuca scored the game-winning goal in the first two minutes to lift Monmouth to a 2-0 victory over Canisius on Wednesday in Buffalo, N.Y.
• The Hawks out-shot the Blue and Gold, 21-6, and led the Griffs in shots on goal, 10-3.
• The Hawks added to their margin in the 49th minute when Maddie Gibson, found the right corner of the net from 12 yards out.
• Junior goalkeeper Alana Rossi was credited with seven saves for Canisius before being replaced by sophomore Bailey Fenwick-Miller in the 85th minute.
ABOUT THE STAGS
• Fairfield is 5-5-2 on the year and 3-1-1 in MAAC play. The Stags dropped their last MAAC contest against Siena, 1-0(OT), at home.
• Alex Madden leads the conference with seven goals and is tied for third with 14 points.
• Fairfield goalkeeper Aytana Muchajew has recorded 45 saves this season, sixth-most in the conference.
• As a team, the Stags have outscored their opponents 20-16 on the season.

• Saturday’s match will be the 28th all-time meeting between the Griffs and the Stags.
• Fairfield leads the series, 19-7-1.
• Last season, Canisius scored a 2-0 victory over Fairfield at the Demske Sports Complex in Buffalo, N.Y.
• Canisius has beaten Fairfield in each of the last two seasons, the first time the Griffs have recorded back-to-back regular-season wins over the Stags since the series began in 1992.
