The Canisius women’s soccer team continues its home stretch Wednesday when it hosts Monmouth at the Demske Sports Complex in Buffalo, N.Y. Game time is set for 4 p.m.

The contest will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
 
LAST TIME OUT
• Canisius junior Madeline Beaulieu scored in the 30th minute to pace Canisius in a 1-1 draw with Iona Saturday afternoon in Buffalo, N.Y.
•  The Gaels out-shot the Griffs, 18-16, and led the Blue and Gold in shots on goal, 8-7.
• Faith Preziosi brought the Gaels level in the 53rd minute when she chipped the ball over Canisius junior goalkeeper Alana Rossi’s head and into the right corner of the net.
• Rossi was credited with seven saves for Canisius, while Emma Havrilla finished with six stops for Iona.

ABOUT THE HAWKS
• Monmouth is 8-3-1 on the year and 3-1-0 in MAAC play. The Hawks won their last MAAC contest over Siena, 1-0, in West Long Branch, N.J. on Sept. 29th.
• Junior Lexie Palladino leads the Hawks with five goals.
• Monmouth has gotten 34 saves from junior goalkeeper Amanda Knaub through the first twelve games of the season.
• Monmouth has out-shot opponents, 186-90, this season.
 
CANISIUS – MONMOUTH SERIES HISTORY
• Wednesday’s match will be the 9th all-time meeting between the Griffs and the Hawks.
• Monmouth leads the series, 7-1-0.
• The sqauds first faced off in 1987, with the Hawks defeating Canisius 4-0.
• Last season, Monmouth scored a 2-0 victory over the Griffs in West Long Branch, N.J.
