EDISON, N.J. — The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) released its swimming and diving preseason coaches’ poll on Tuesday. The Niagara men’s team was selected ninth.
The Purple Eagles return 17 letterwinners from last year’s squad and welcome three newcomers.
The team finished ninth at last season’s MAAC Championships and broke one school record; Nicolas Winograd swam the 100 breast in a school-best time of 56.90.
The Niagara men’s swimming and diving team opens its schedule on Friday, Oct. 5 with a dual meet at Fredonia.
