BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo State rookie Alexis Hanson (New York/West Broward) was named the SUNYAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Bengals to a pair of victories to open league play.
The freshman psychology major had a breakout weekend scoring three times, leading the Bengals to a pair of victories over Oneonta and New Paltz. Hanson netted the lone goal less than seven minutes into Friday’s 1-0 win over Oneonta and then scored twice in Saturday’s 3-0 victory against New Paltz. She leads the Bengals with four goals and nine points this season.
Hanson and the Bengals return to SUNYAC play this weekend at Geneseo and Brockport on Friday and Saturday respectively.
