Niagara women’s golf completes first round of Golden Grizzlies Invitational

ROCHESTER, M.I. — The Niagara women’s golf team completed the first round of the Golden Grizzlies Invitational, hosted by Oakland University, on Monday. The team is in eighth place out of 12 teams and carded a total score of 334 (+46) in round one.

Sarah Godfrey led the Purple Eagles, carding an 80 (+8). She is tied for 11^th place after the first 18 holes of play.

Daniella Hopper is tied for 15^th place. She shot 81 (+9) in round one.

Susan Leone carded an 86 (+14) and is tied for 37^th place and Samantha Bernardo carded an 87 (+15) and is tied for 42^nd place.

Sydney Shaw rounded out the Niagara group. She shot 93 (+21) and is tied for 62^nd.

The Purple Eagles will tee off at 9:00 a.m. for the second round of the Golden Grizzlies Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
