A 49-year-old Andover man was charged with DWI on September 23, 2018 after he was found asleep in his vehicle.
According to New York State Troopers, during their investigation of a man sleeping in a vehicle on Pingrey Hill Road in the town of Andover, officers determined that Marcus E. Smith had been operating his vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He was arrested and transported to SP Amity, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.16% BAC.
Smith was released with appearance tickets returnable to Andover Town Court in October.
