ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — In its first Little 3 outing of the season, the Niagara men’s soccer team was tripped up by the Bonnies, 1-0.

Match Moments

  • 23′ – Niagara earned its first corner kick of the night, and Absolom Solorio’s feed led to a header by Bautista Pedezert. Pedezert’s shot was blocked by a handball for a foul and penalty kick, but Luca Pacheco couldn’t convert from the spot.
  • 34′ – A blocked shot from the Niagara defense led to a solid counter, which ended when Pedezert’s attempt landed wide.
  • 77′ – After a Niagara offside and a Pacheco shot tailed wide, both squads exchanged words and fouls for the next several minutes.

Coach’s Corner

  • Head coach Bill Boyle: “These are the games we need to learn how to grind out a win. We did very well defensively but just didn’t finish our chances. I think we deserved a tie as both teams left everything on the field. I’m proud of our guys and the wins will come with that effort!”
