CANISIUS RETURNS TO CORNELL THIS WEEKEND
• The Canisius golf team will hit the course for the third time in a week Sept. 15-16, as the Golden Griffins travel to take part in the annual Cornell Invitational in Ithaca, N.Y.
• This year marks the 12th straight year where Canisius has participated in the Cornell Invitational. Last year, the Griffs placed 16th as a team.
ANOTHER LITTLE THREE IN THE BOOKS
• On Tuesday, Canisius, Niagara and St. Bonaventure played the annual Little Three Championship for the 65th time, with the Bonnies winning their 41st team championship after posting a two-round score of 576.
• Canisius, which served as the host school for the event placed second for the third-straight year with a two-round team score of 601.
• Junior David Hanes, earned a tie for fourth in the field after he carded a 36-holes score of 146. Hanes shot a one-under par 71 in the second round to lead the Griffs.
• Junior Jaret Chipman finished the tournament in seventh place after he posted a two-round total of 149, his lowest career effort for a 36-hole event.
