SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Buffalo State split a pair of straight-set matches to open the Union Invitational today, falling to the host Dutchwomen, before cruising past St. Michael’s.

- Bryanna Fisher (Brooklyn/Midwood) led an inconsistent Buffalo State attack in the first match with a team-high seven kills.
- Hanna Cormier (Fort Edward/Warhill) posted 10 digs, while Brooke Federko (Jamestown/Jamestown) had seven assists.
- Buffalo State posted a .118 attack percentage, compared to .427 by Union. The Dutchwomen also held a 52-28 advantage in digs.

- Eimile O’Brien (Marietta/Marcellus) added seven kills.
- Federko finished with 25 assists, two aces and six digs.
