STAFF REPORTS

A 25-year-old Stockton man was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree on September 6, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, officers pulled Jeremy Burke over for driving 56 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone on Water Street in Sinclairville. A Chautauqua County Sheriff unit arrived on scene as he was behind Burke, attempting to stop him for driving 71 miles per hour in the 55 mile per hour zone. During the traffic stop Burke was determined to be in possession of a crushed Subutex pill. Subutex is a controlled substance for which Burke does not have a prescription. Burke was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed.

Burke was then issued an appearance ticket and traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the town of Charlotte Court later in the month.
