A 60-year-old Gerry woman was arrested on a Town of Ellicott bench warrant on September 6, 2018.
According to New York State Troopers, the warrant was for failing to appear in court for Driving While Intoxicated and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. City of Salamanca Police were releasing Mary Waechter from their custody for an unrelated charge. Waechter was taken into State Police custody at the Salamanca Police Department and arraigned in the town of Carroll Court.
Waechter was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail and is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court later in the month.
