A 36 year old Sinclairville woman was charged with Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child on August 13, 2018 following a domestic dispute.

According to New York State Troopers, officers responded to a residence in Gerry for a report of a past-tense domestic incident. Investigation revealed that Stephanie Frank and the victim met at a neutral location for a child exchange, during which time an argument between Frank and the victim ensued. During the argument, Frank accelerated her vehicle in reverse, striking the victim with the open car door and knocking him to the ground. The victim was able to move to avoid being struck a second time. The incident occurred with a child under 17 years old inside Frank’s vehicle.

Frank was arrested, processed at SP Jamestown and released with appearance tickets per the District Attorney’s recommendation. Frank is scheduled to appear in the town of Gerry Court next month to answer the charges.
