A 23 year old Dunkirk man was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana on August 9, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.
According to New York State Troopers, a vehicle in which Nicholas Bomasuto was a passenger was pulled over on Route 5 in Sheridan for a traffic violation. While speaking to the occupants, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and its occupants revealed that Bomasuto was in possession of a bag containing five grams of marijuana.
The driver was issued a traffic ticket and Bomasuto was issued an appearance ticket, both of which are returnable to the town of Sheridan Court on a later date.
