SAMLAND – Bernhard of Grand Island, entered into rest on August 8, 2018, beloved husband of Clarice (nee Alexander) Samland; devoted father of Michael (Debra) Samland, Darlene Simmons (David Fuest), Karen Fischer (James Sturtz), Lisa (Michael Gallagher); father in law of the late Colleen (nee Clements) Samland; cherished grandfather of thirteen grandchildren including the late Kevin; adored great grandfather of seven great grandchildren; loving son of the late Bernhard and Agathe Samland; dear brother of Elizabeth, Joseph, Johann, Hildegard and the late Marie, Anton and Siegfried his twin. Also survived by relatives and friends.
Relatives and Friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan on Friday from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock (please assemble at church). Entombment St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Grand Island.
