NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Niagara men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams have released their schedules for the 2018-19 season.
Prior to the start of the season, the Purple Eagles will host their annual Purple vs. White Meet on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 9:00 a.m.
The women’s team kicks off its season on Sunday, Sept. 30, hosting the University of Vermont for a meet at the Oxy Aquatic Center. Events will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Both teams take on Fredonia on Friday, Oct. 5 at 5:00 p.m. The Purple Eagles take a break from competition to host their annual Alumni Meet on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 10:00 a.m.
NU is back in action at Binghamton on Saturday, Oct. 20. The men will face the Bearcats and the women will face both Binghamton and Siena. The Purple Eagles then host Colgate (Nov. 4) and Waterloo (Nov. 10).
The team travels to Akron, Ohio to compete in the Zippy Invite Nov. 30 – Dec. 2, before returning home to host crosstown rival Canisius at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19.
The teams close out the regular season at St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Feb. 2.
The women’s team will host Buffalo on a date that is yet to be determined.
The Purple Eagles will close out the season at the MAAC Championships Feb. 13-16. Niagara and Canisius will cohost the tournament which will take place at the Burt Flickinger Center at Erie Community College in Buffalo, N.Y.
