I sent a FOIL request to State Senator Michael Ranzenhofer asking how much money it cost the taxpayers for the flyer he sent out about the Health Fair he was sponsoring. This Health Fair was for the public to receive difference types of screening. The Fair was open from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on August 4, 2018.

The flyer mentioned another candidate running for office, Ray Walter. I discovered what Mr. Ray Walter did at this health fair. I was told he packed gift bags for the people who came for a screening.
Under the FOIL rules I should have received a message from State Senator Ranzenhofer as to when I will be able to view the cost of this flyer. So far he has failed to do this according to the rules of the FOIL law.

I know he used money from the state allotment to elect officials to pay for these flyers. He didn’t take any money from his own overflowing campaign funds.

Our State Senator might believe my request under FOIL might hurt his chances to be re-elected when the public realizes how cheap some politicians really are and that they believe they are above the law. He has been in some elected position for over two decades and knows the rules. He shouldn’t ignore a request from the people he is sworn to to represent.  It really is a simple request.

Does this Republican remind you of anyone else who believes he is also above the law? He lives in a big white house in Washington D.C.
