Additionally, three Purple Eagles were recognized for their individual achievements in the classroom by being named to the 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll.

In order to qualify for the Academic Honor Squad, a team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the entire 2017-18 academic year. The Purple Eagles combined for a 3.43 team GPA. 103 of the 116 Division I women’s lacrosse programs made the list, including each of the nine MAAC programs that sponsor the sport.

Individually, juniors Bailey Collins, Hailey D’Hont and Mackenzie Molodetz were Niagara’s three representatives on the Academic Honor Roll. The student-athletes earned the distinction after registering GPAs of 3.50 or greater in 2017-18. The MAAC had 46 athletes from its nine women’s lacrosse programs listed among the 462 individual DI players to make the cut.
